  • SENIOR LONG TERM LEGAL REFORM SPECIALIST- USAID PROJECT TO IMPROVE THE BUSINESS CLIMATE IN MOROCCO
    Rabat, Morocco

    Served as technical team leader for commercial law and judicial reform aimed at compliance with the US/Morocco Free Trade Agreement.

    Directed the drafting and introduction of bankruptcy reform legislation focusing on legal and regulatory infirmities in the administration of insolvent companies.

    Designed and implemented continuing legal education programs for the Moroccan bench in complex issues of commercial law, bankruptcy, intellectual property and evidence.

    Designed and implemented in-court technical training of Moroccan bankruptcy administration clerks in the processing of cases for reorganization of insolvent companies.

    Analyzed and reported on the ease of doing business for domestic and foreign investors based on World Bank measurable indicators set out in Doing Business in 2005/2006 study.
